Chris Brown Buys $1.5 Million Hollywood Hills Pad:Chris Brown is making moves, though this time they're not on the dance floor. The singer, who performed his hits "All Back" and "Say It With Me" at the Nov. 20 American Music Awards, recently bought a $1.5 million pad in the Hollywood Hills. The 2,500 square-foot house has three bedrooms and an outdoor pool. Brown is moving to the house from his West Hollywood condo, where he ran into trouble with his neighbors over parking and noise issues. Brown's new spot is just miles from a house ex-girlfriend Rihanna owns, in Beverly Hills. However, she recently listed the house for $4.5 million, and is currently suing its sellers for failing to disclose the property's waterproofing and construction defects. Brown's new modern house was designed by architect Jay Vanos and includes an elevator from the garage to the main pool area, according to Realtor.com. It also has Crestron smart home controls, a Boffi kitchen and baths, glass walls, canyon views, a green roof and concrete stairs and benches with built-in LED lighting.
Matthew McConaughey’s $4.9 Million Mansion:As anyone who reads gossip columns and magazines knows, maintaining a healthy marriage in Hollywood is hard. If both halves of the couple are working actors, they often spend months apart, and juggling a family and work commitments can be too much. Add to that the pressure of one half of the couple becoming more successful than the other, and often the relationship falls apart. Some performers choose to date someone who has nothing to do with their profession, but this can backfire as well, when the non-performer is left holding everything together while the performer is off working. Consequently, many performers simply don’t get married, and instead, enter into long-term relationships. However, a few of them, ultimately, choose to marry. This is the case with Matthew McConaughey and his long-time girlfriend, now fiancee, Camila Alves. The pair began dating in 2007 and already has two children together. They became engaged in December of 2011. In addition to an engagement ring, Mr. McConaughey also purchased a new mansion in early 2012, in his home state of Texas. The 10,000 square foot Spanish-style mansion was on the market for a number of years before he snatched it up at approximately $4.9 million dollars, a significant price-drop from its original selling value. The home sports seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a massive kitchen with multiple islands, an elevator, multiple verandas, a courtyard with fountain, a guesthouse with a porch, multiple places to moor boats, multiple balconies, a four-car garage, and more than one fireplace. High ceilings, tile floors, and massive windows abound. There is an abundance of green everywhere and stone paths wind around the grounds.
